Los Cabos International Airport (SJD)
Los Cabos International Airport (Aeropuerto Internacional de Los Cabos) is located in San José del Cabo, approximately 45 minutes from Cabo San Lucas and the resort area.
US Passport Holders
No visa required for tourism
Entry Requirements:
- Valid US passport (book card also accepted by land/port of entry)
- FMM (Forma Migratoria Múltiple) tourist card — issued on arrival or online
- Proof of accommodation/reservation
- Return or onward flight ticket

Nigerian Passport Holders
Visa required before travel
Nigerian citizens must obtain a Mexican visa before traveling.
Entry Requirements:
- Passport valid at least 6 months beyond date of arrival
- Valid Mexican visa (tourist)
- FMM tourist card — issued on arrival
- Return or onward flight ticket
- Proof of accommodation/reservation

Travel Tips
Arrival
Allow extra time for immigration and customs. Have all documents ready including your passport, FMM tourist card, return ticket, and hotel confirmation.
Currency
Mexican Peso (MXN) is the local currency. US dollars are widely accepted in Los Cabos, but you'll often get a better rate with pesos. ATMs are available at the airport and throughout town.
Transportation
Pre-book airport transfers or use authorized taxi services. The ride from the airport to Cabo San Lucas takes about 45 minutes. Uber and private transfers are also available.
